From Paralegal to Trainee Solicitor
Sadiqa Shivji started at RakLAW since its inception as a paralegal. She has now been promoted to a trainee solicitor at RakLAW Solicitors. Sadiqa specialises in family law and civil litigation, handling a wide range of cases with professionalism and attention to detail.
Family Law
Her responsibilities and skills include legal research and drafting, preparing legal documents, and maintaining case files. In family law, she supports clients in divorce matters, financial remedy proceedings, and child arrangement disputes. Sadiqa guides her clients through what are often sensitive and complex situations with outmost expertise.
Civil Litigation
Within civil litigation, Sadiqa assists with various contentious matters including contractual disputes, debt recovery, and general dispute resolution, supporting clients from the early stages of a claim through to court proceedings where necessary, to ensure matters progress efficiently and effectively.
Languages and Qualifications
Sadiqa is multilingual and speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Swahili, and Kutchi. This enables her to assist clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds with clarity and confidence. Sadiqa holds a Bachelor of Law degree from University of Brighton and a LPC LLM from the University of Law.

Aside from work she enjoys cooking and is an avid watcher of football, with Liverpool being her favourite team. Sadiqa ensures that she contributes to her local community by volunteering at her local community centre.
